Storage Media: Cassette tape deck (not included), Disk II (5.25" floppy drive, sold separately since late 1978)

Operating System: Integer BASIC (stored on ROM), Apple DOS (available since late 1978; stored on a floppy disk included with the purchase of the Disk II drive)

Notes: It is considered to be one of the most important machines in the history of computing due to its huge role in popularizing home computing. It also saw great success in the education market. The popularity of the product was such that, even though the original model was discontinued in 1979, the Apple II lineup would remain on the market until the first half of the 1990s, with its last model, the Apple IIe, ceasing production in 1993.
