Presentation and Sale Period: Introduced to the public on September 14, 1956. First units shipped in September 1956; discontinued in 1961

Dimensions: Could fit in a room of about 9 by 15 metres

Processor: Processing components stored in the central unit (IBM 305)

Memory: 100 characters memory buffer (used for temporary storage during data transfer)

Storage Media: IBM 350 disk storage unit (3.75 MB), punched cards reader and recorder

Operating System: none

Notes: It was the first computer to use a hard disk drive: the IBM 350 unit.
